Description

  • Plan, develop, and test new product features.
  • Apply prior engineering experience to create fintech innovations for businesses.
  • Partner with engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to shape the user experience.
  • Investigate and resolve bugs, including issues reported directly by users.
  • Lead pull-request reviews while maintaining unit-test coverage and code quality.
  • Support the migration of application modules into independent microservices.
  • Develop product capabilities used by tens of thousands of customers.
  • Contribute to new product initiatives from initial concept through market launch.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience building web applications with modern software engineering practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
  • Advanced expertise with Django is required.
  • Experience diagnosing complex database performance problems.
  • Track record of building scalable, high-performance backends and making practical engineering trade-offs.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts concisely.
  • Experience in an early-stage startup is strongly preferred.
  • Fintech or accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Experience integrating ERP or accounting systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders is advantageous.
  • Exposure to AWS DevOps is advantageous.
  • Strong product judgment is advantageous.
