Description

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud platforms for data-intensive and AI-enabled applications.
  • Set architectural direction, technical strategy, and engineering standards across complex enterprise systems.
  • Develop and optimize secure, reliable, high-performance backend services, APIs, and distributed applications.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Lead code reviews and promote software quality, maintainability, and scalability through consistent development practices.
  • Build cloud-native solutions with modern infrastructure, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Create integrations with external systems, platforms, and data sources.
  • Apply security, privacy, and regulatory controls when working with sensitive data.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical direction across multiple projects and teams.
  • Advance system reliability, operational excellence, and engineering efficiency through continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing enterprise-scale software applications and platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
  • Proficiency in Python, plus experience with Java, TypeScript, or other modern programming languages.
  • Experience designing scalable software architectures and distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of API development, system integrations, and microservices architecture.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Understanding of software security, data privacy, and compliance practices.
  • Experience with large, complex datasets and highly regulated environments is preferred.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification or a comparable cloud certification is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, or another regulated industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication, technical leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
  • Availability to collaborate with teams across multiple U.S. time zones and successful completion of pre-employment drug screening are required.
