Senior Frontend Engineer, React — Remote in the United States

Lead React and TypeScript development for secure, accessible products used by clients and attorneys at a national family law firm. Build AI-enabled workflows and shape the frontend architecture for a greenfield product.

Description

  • Lead frontend architecture and product implementation using React and TypeScript
  • Turn product designs and interactive prototypes into polished, production-ready experiences
  • Create frontend patterns for complex multi-step workflows covering forms, conditional logic, validation, autosave, resume states, loading, error handling, and recovery
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts, data structures, error handling, and client-server responsibilities
  • Set standards for component architecture, state management, routing, forms, and broader frontend practices
  • Deliver secure, role-aware interfaces for clients and attorneys
  • Embed AI-powered functionality into product workflows
  • Maintain frontend performance, accessibility, responsive behavior, browser compatibility, and production quality
  • Define testing approaches for critical components and end-to-end user workflows
  • Review code, establish frontend standards, and mentor frontend developers through technical guidance

Requirements

  • Professional experience developing React and TypeScript applications with complex user workflows
  • Background establishing frontend architecture for applications with substantial state and extensive backend integration
  • Strong command of component architecture, state management, forms, routing, and maintainable frontend patterns
  • Experience developing multi-step or workflow-driven applications with validation, conditional logic, persistence, recovery, and clear error states
  • Knowledge of frontend authentication flows and role-based interfaces, including backend enforcement of access controls
  • Experience collaborating with backend engineers to define API contracts and data structures
  • Strong practices in accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, and frontend performance
  • Experience creating automated frontend tests for critical components and user workflows
  • Ability to review code, define frontend standards, and provide technical direction to other frontend developers
  • Ability to work independently as the senior React frontend engineer on a greenfield product and make sound architectural choices
  • Preferred: experience designing frontend interactions for AI-enabled workflows
  • Preferred: experience building payment, client intake, or other workflows where state accuracy is critical
  • Preferred: experience handling sensitive client data or working in a regulated environment
  • Preferred: experience partnering closely with product and design teams to turn prototypes into production applications
  • Preferred: experience in the legal industry or legal technology
