- Lead engineering for shared AI Foundations services
- Recruit and coach engineers on the team
- Set technical direction, priorities, and delivery expectations
- Work with Product and senior engineers to advance AI models and agents
- Balance reliability, security, developer experience, and cost
- Manage engineering vendor relationships and operational readiness
- Coordinate with Security, Legal, and Finance on AI governance and spending controls
- Set the Neutral Foundations strategy and 2027 roadmap
- Improve the operational performance of AI primitives and services
- Deliver the LLM Gateway and MCP Gateway, and advance model routing and evaluations
- Build the next level of AI Foundations leadership
Requirements
- Lead AI Foundations engineering across shared services, including hiring, coaching, technical direction, prioritization, and delivery
- Balance innovation in AI models and agents with reliability, security, developer experience, and cost
- Manage engineering vendor relationships and operational readiness
