Senior DevOps Engineer, Canada Remote
Lead secure cloud platform design, migrations, Kubernetes operations, and CI/CD automation. Support TELUS Digital’s global consultancy and enterprise technology modernization projects.
Description
- Build secure, scalable cloud landing zones.
- Lead migration and modernization work, including cutovers, rollback plans, and data integrity checks.
- Implement observability solutions, SLIs, and actionable alerts.
- Turn legacy deployment processes into automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Add automated vulnerability scanning and policy enforcement to delivery workflows.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, networking, ingress, and autoscaling.
- Guide junior consultants through code reviews and architecture advice.
- Automate operational work with scripts or custom CLI tools.
- Work with client engineering teams to clear technical blockers and advance cloud-native adoption.
Requirements
- Bring 5–7 years of engineering experience.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or SRE.
- Show strong administration skills with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or a comparable container orchestration platform.
- Be proficient in Python or Go.
- Understand hybrid connectivity architectures, including VPNs, Interconnects, and DNS resolution.
- Have proven experience designing and maintaining production-grade Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Hold the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Hold the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
