Description

  • Guide managers, technical leads, and engineers, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Develop engineering leaders and build a high-performing team culture.
  • Set performance expectations, coach team members, and help them advance their careers.
  • Oversee enterprise data products and platforms from planning through delivery and ongoing management.
  • Set priorities and lead execution of data product roadmaps and engineering initiatives.
  • Direct the creation of scalable data pipelines, platforms, and frameworks.
  • Define and uphold practices for data quality, governance, and observability.
  • Work with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to shape data strategy and operating models.
  • Assess and adopt modern data technologies and architectural approaches.
  • Contribute to special projects and carry out other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • At least ten years of business or technical experience, including people management and data expertise.
  • An undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Background leading data engineering teams and delivering scalable data solutions.
  • Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to establish requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Ability to turn business needs into data engineering solutions or products.
  • A record of delivering data initiatives in complex or ambiguous settings.
  • Experience with current data engineering tools, cloud platforms such as AWS, and modern data architectures.
  • Experience with data lakes, real-time processing, and platforms such as Databricks.
  • Practical or leadership experience in data modeling, data quality, and data management.
