Description

  • Build and improve REST APIs and backend services with Node.js and NestJS
  • Design and deliver scalable, resilient, and highly available solutions
  • Contribute to technical discussions and software architecture decisions
  • Build and maintain solutions with AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway
  • Use Oracle Database and DynamoDB for data modeling, querying, and optimization
  • Create API-based integrations between internal and external systems
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues
  • Maintain delivery quality through automated testing and sound development practices
  • Produce clean, reusable, secure, and maintainable code
  • Take part in code reviews and help advance team development standards
  • Use Git and established version-control processes
  • Contribute to CI/CD, observability, monitoring, logging, and metrics practices
  • Assess technical risks and recommend improvements to performance, security, and reliability
  • Mentor less experienced developers through guidance and knowledge sharing
  • Join technical refinement, estimation, and delivery-planning sessions

Requirements

  • Substantial experience working as a Senior Backend Developer
  • Advanced proficiency with Node.js
  • Advanced experience using NestJS
  • Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and development best practices
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway
  • Practical experience with DynamoDB
  • Experience with Oracle Database and SQL
  • Proficiency with Git and version-control strategies
  • Knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Understanding of error handling, logging, and observability
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Preferred: experience with Serverless architecture
  • Preferred: experience with distributed systems and microservices
  • Preferred: knowledge of messaging and asynchronous processing with SQS, SNS, or EventBridge
  • Preferred: experience with Docker and containers
  • Preferred: knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
  • Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Preferred: knowledge of AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, or comparable observability tools
  • Preferred: knowledge of API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, IAM, Secrets Management, and OWASP
  • Preferred: experience with Redis and caching strategies
  • Preferred: knowledge of retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, idempotency, and rate limiting
  • Preferred: experience improving performance and scalability
  • Preferred: knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
  • Preferred: experience in highly available, high-volume transaction environments
