Remote Illustration Assistant in Mexico

Description

  • Create artwork and complete sets in Hadley Designs’ established style across product lines.
  • Illustrate original characters, motifs, patterns, and scenes with a cute, kid-friendly look.
  • Develop the CCO’s concepts and creative direction into finished, production-ready product designs.
  • Manage designs independently from initial handoff through final build-out.
  • Create design variations, expand complete sets, and prepare files.
  • Prepare print and production files to specification.
  • Create mockups and product previews for listings.
  • Keep product sets consistent with the brand’s style.
  • Update the evolving style reference as the catalog grows.
  • Occasionally assist with ad operations and revise existing product lines.

Requirements

  • Provide a portfolio of original illustrations showing a cute, playful, kid-friendly, or product-design sensibility.
  • Use Adobe Illustrator proficiently for native illustration work.
  • Match and extend an existing art style while creating a cohesive set.
  • Translate written and verbal creative direction into finished work.
  • Meet deadlines reliably while managing multiple pieces at once.
  • Experience preparing print or production files to specification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with children’s, educational, or consumer products is a plus.
  • Comfort using Notion and ClickUp and organizing files is a plus.
  • This is an early-career or entry-level illustrator role, rather than a senior art director or veteran illustrator position.
