Remote Database Analyst Engineer

Description

  • Build and support data pipelines in Databricks and other analytical and operational systems.
  • Extract data from the enterprise CDW cloud environment and deliver reliable, analysis-ready datasets.
  • Maintain two-way data movement across the enterprise CDW, cloud workgroup, and operational systems.
  • Support NTSP workflows, processes, initiatives, programs, and projects.
  • Establish authoritative data rules, resolve conflicts, and maintain synchronization integrity.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes with SQL, Spark SQL, PySpark, and Python.
  • Create reproducible, version-controlled, auditable code.
  • Build patient-matching and record-linkage logic, including audits of previous matches.
  • Standardize datasets across facilities and sources.
  • Automate validation checks during data extraction and delivery.
  • Create data flow maps.
  • Prepare clean, well-structured data for the Government Informatics team’s use in Power BI and other reporting platforms.
  • Write administrator and technical documentation and support its handover to the Government at the end of the task order.
  • Prepare administrator training materials and presentations.
  • Create a transition plan that specifies the cadence and skills needed to sustain NTSP work.
  • Provide continued technical support, maintenance, improvements, updates, and transition support for developed applications and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience building, testing, implementing, improving, maintaining, and supporting cloud data pipelines, including Databricks.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud CDW environments and analytical or operational systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL or Spark SQL, PySpark, and Python.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT extraction and transformation processes.
  • Experience implementing patient matching and record linkage using multiple identifiers.
  • Experience standardizing datasets across facilities and sources.
  • Experience creating automated validation checks, missing-data reports, range checks, and impossible-value checks.
  • Experience creating data flow maps and documenting inputs, outputs, sources, update schedules, and internal controls.
  • Experience preparing well-modeled data for Power BI or other analytical reporting platforms.
  • Experience producing administrator and technical documentation, training materials, presentations, and transition plans.
  • Ability to provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, improvements, and updates.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
