Remote Cardiologist Consultant for ATTR Cardiac Amyloidosis

Description

  • Assess patient charts for the likelihood of ATTR cardiac amyloidosis, including when information is incomplete.
  • Record clinical reasoning against specific, evidence-based criteria.
  • Differentiate ATTR from similar conditions and state uncertainty clearly.
  • Use consistent labeling standards.
  • Update assessments as new evidence and AI model feedback become available.
  • Explain clinical decisions clearly to engineers and data scientists.
  • Complete annotation batches within agreed timelines.
  • Help improve an AI model that identifies patients likely to have transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis.
  • Annotate patient charts, apply clinical reasoning, and support AI model improvement.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree, with Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship completed.
  • Currently practicing as a cardiologist.
  • At least two years of experience after fellowship.
  • Practical experience evaluating and managing patients with suspected or confirmed ATTR cardiomyopathy.
  • Experience ordering and interpreting PYP scans.
  • Availability for 10–20 hours per week.
  • Ability to turn complex clinical judgments into clear, structured criteria.
  • Must be a clinician based in the United States.
  • Must work as an independent contractor.
  • Must not require H-1B or STEM OPT support.
  • Preferred: background in Heart Failure or Transplant Cardiology, advanced heart failure, amyloidosis, or cardiomyopathies.
  • Preferred: experience at an amyloidosis center of excellence or cardiomyopathy clinic.
  • Preferred: publications on ATTR cardiomyopathy screening, epidemiology, or diagnostic pathways.
  • Preferred: prior work with AI/ML teams, clinical decision-support systems, or clinical chart labeling.
