Description

  • Build accurate Autodesk Inventor models of agricultural machinery, components, and assemblies.
  • Recreate existing machinery designs and components in CAD.
  • Prepare and update detailed manufacturing, fabrication, and component drawings in 2D.
  • Revise models and drawings in line with engineering instructions.
  • Update drawings to reflect design and component changes.
  • Manage models, drawings, revisions, and related records in Autodesk Vault.
  • Apply established design standards, file structures, and drafting workflows.
  • Join regular video meetings with the New Zealand engineering team.
  • Review drawings, changes, and priorities, and respond to feedback and revision requests.

Requirements

  • A formal mechanical engineering degree or accreditation is not required; practical ability, strong CAD skills, and relevant drafting experience are the priority.
  • Professional experience with Autodesk Inventor in drafting or manufacturing.
  • A strong portfolio of 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Ready-to-use proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
  • SolidWorks experience may be considered with strong, current Autodesk Inventor skills.
  • Autodesk Vault experience is preferred.
  • Drafting experience in agricultural machinery, trailers, mechanical equipment, heavy fabrication, or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience with sheet metal and fabricated steel drafting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding, bending, cutting, and assembly processes is preferred.
  • Remote work experience with Australian or New Zealand engineering or manufacturing businesses is preferred.
  • Confident spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple drawings and revisions, follow engineering direction, and seek clarification when needed.
  • An organized and dependable approach that maintains design integrity and accuracy.
