California FAIR Plan Association is an insurance organization serving California property owners and residents who cannot obtain fire coverage through the traditional market. Its FAIR Plan provides basic protection for eligible owner- or tenant-occupied homes of up to four family units, along with coverage for qualifying commercial buildings. The organization also connects customers with earthquake insurance offered through the California Earthquake Authority. Policies are accessed through licensed insurance brokers and are intended as a temporary option when standard coverage is unavailable.
