Description

  • Guide the technical direction of shared services and components used across engineering teams.
  • Create APIs, tools, and design system components, and encourage their adoption across teams.
  • Make software development, testing, and release processes faster, safer, and more reliable.
  • Collect feedback from internal engineers, track adoption, and improve solutions based on what you learn.
  • Lead complex projects from initial planning through production release.
  • Work with product managers, designers, engineering leaders, and engineers to shape roadmaps.
  • Maintain the long-term reliability and performance of a platform domain.
  • Make architecture decisions and document proposals for technical changes.
  • Mentor senior and staff engineers and establish code review standards.
  • Improve engineering tools, testing, and software delivery practices across teams.
  • Join a team of 5 to 10 people.
  • Take ownership of the technical direction for a platform domain or system within your first 6 months.

Requirements

  • Bring at least 10 years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products.
  • Show a record of leading technical work that spans multiple teams.
  • Have deep practical experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Have designed shared systems that perform reliably at scale.
  • Have experience with mobile-first, responsive, iterative development.
  • Write maintainable, testable code.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and conversation.
  • Work effectively when project specifications are still evolving.
  • Use AI tools as part of your daily development workflow.
  • GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience is a plus.
  • Experience in search, authentication and identity, design systems or component libraries, developer tools or IDE extensions, CI/CD, observability, or compliance programs such as FedRAMP or SOC 2 is relevant.
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
