Description

  • Set technical direction for core customer workflows such as scheduling, parts management, and reporting.
  • Tackle complex product challenges involving data-dense interfaces, large datasets, offline use, and multi-site scale.
  • Establish architecture and engineering practices for newly formed teams.
  • Simplify complex workflows across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Lead large, ambiguous initiatives from planning through production.
  • Work with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering leaders on team and cross-team roadmaps.
  • Guide the long-term health, reliability, and performance of a product domain.
  • Make architecture decisions and develop technical proposals.
  • Coach senior and staff engineers.
  • Establish code review standards.
  • Advance tooling, testing, and delivery practices across teams.
  • Join a team of 5 to 10 and take part in the on-call rotation.
  • Assume technical direction for a domain or system within the first six months.

Requirements

  • Bring at least 10 years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products.
  • Have led technical work spanning more than one team.
  • Offer deep, hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Have designed systems that perform reliably at scale.
  • Have experience with mobile-first, responsive, iterative development.
  • Show a record of writing maintainable, testable code.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and conversation.
  • Be comfortable moving work forward while specifications are still evolving.
  • Use AI tools as part of your regular development workflow.
  • GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience is a plus.
  • Relevant experience may include scheduling or calendar interfaces, data-heavy front ends, offline-first or synchronization architectures, multi-tenant or enterprise platforms, workflow engines, or inventory and transactional systems.
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
