Oracle Database Developer, Assistant Vice President – Pune Hybrid
Develop and optimize Oracle database applications for Citi’s financial services technology operations. Support secure releases, performance tuning, application users, and database solution enhancements.
Description
- Oversee the full application development lifecycle from analysis and design through testing and implementation
- Provide application and operational support to business users
- Resolve complex application development challenges using specialized technical expertise
- Assess business and system workflows against relevant industry standards
- Design and recommend security controls based on post-implementation usage analysis
- Advise users, clients, and technology teams on application and technical issues
- Propose advanced programming approaches to address business and technology needs
- Install and support customer exposure systems
- Maintain required procedures while helping establish operating standards and processes
- Coach and advise junior analysts
- Work independently with limited supervision and sound professional judgment
- Manage technology risk, support regulatory compliance, apply ethical judgment, and transparently escalate and report control issues
Requirements
- At least eight years of Oracle RDBMS experience, preferably including financial services or banking environments
- Expertise developing Oracle tables, stored procedures, functions, packages, views, and triggers for business logic implementation
- Strong experience with query tuning and database performance optimization
- Ability to diagnose and resolve database performance problems
- Ability to assess database content and quality, recommend data management practices, and build data processes
- Experience designing and implementing database application optimization and enhancement solutions
- Experience using RLM and packaging scripts for release code deployments
- Experience using GitHub for source code management
- Experience working with Jenkins
- Experience developing front-end applications with Java and J2EE
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent professional experience
