Description

  • Develop and support Go microservices and REST APIs serving a high-traffic platform.
  • Drive assigned work from start to finish, working independently and flagging blockers early.
  • Use agentic coding tools to implement features and submit pull requests for review.
  • Review colleagues’ pull requests and join technical discussions.
  • Work with the team to investigate incidents using metrics, logs, and dashboards to identify root causes.
  • Take part in team ceremonies and product refinement.
  • Communicate progress and challenges openly.
  • Apply and adapt to established workflows and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Be available to work with full overlap during Italian time-zone hours.
  • Bring strong hands-on experience using Go as a primary backend language.
  • Have solid experience building and maintaining REST APIs and understand REST principles and conventions.
  • Have experience with microservices architecture, including communication through REST and message brokers.
  • Understand core microservices patterns such as Circuit Breaker, Bulkhead, and Rate Limiting.
  • Understand concepts for scaling under load, caching, and resilience.
  • Have intermediate experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.
  • Have intermediate experience with Redis or a comparable in-memory cache, and understand caching fundamentals.
  • Use sound code design patterns and structures, such as controller, service, and repository layers.
  • Debug beyond the IDE, using metrics, logs, and observability tools to find incident root causes.
  • Take an active part in pull request reviews, giving and receiving feedback.
  • Have hands-on experience using agentic coding tools in a daily development workflow.
