Junior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Analyst

Support Toyota’s global IT operations by assessing technology and cybersecurity risks, documenting controls, and tracking remediation for Toyota Tsusho Systems US.

Description

  • Coordinate risk intake, assessments, triage, and discussions with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technology and cybersecurity risks against NIST, COBIT, and ISO frameworks.
  • Identify and document inherent, residual, and emerging technology risks.
  • Review controls and assess how effectively they reduce identified risks.
  • Align risks with relevant controls, frameworks, and policy requirements.
  • Lead control walkthroughs and risk discussions with control owners and stakeholders.
  • Record risk statements, controls, evidence, and assessment findings in governance tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Recommend risk treatments and monitor remediation through completion.
  • Escalate overdue actions, unresolved risks, and significant control or compliance issues.
  • Create executive-ready risk reports, dashboards, and governance presentations.
  • Support Toyota Tsusho Systems US’s IT, cybersecurity, and technology solutions for Toyota’s global operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of experience in cybersecurity or technology risk management, IT risk, cybersecurity, compliance, or a related discipline.
  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methods, and common security control frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating projects or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation of risks and recommendations.
  • Confidence engaging with control owners and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain technology risks and controls clearly and systematically.
  • Careful attention to detail and documentation quality.
  • Interest in learning and developing in a technology and cybersecurity risk management function.
  • Collaborative approach with technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Knowledge of NIST, COBIT, and ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, and ServiceNow.
