Independent US IPOs Analyst Remote
Research and value US IPOs and direct listings while serving institutional asset managers through Smartkarma’s independent investment research platform.
Description
- Maintain coverage of qualifying US IPOs and direct listings with expected deal sizes of at least USD 100 million, excluding closed-end funds and SPACs.
- Create a data-driven framework for scoring and ranking deals.
- Prepare pre-IPO company tearsheets.
- Perform fundamental research on pre-IPO companies.
- Deliver pre-IPO valuation and pricing analysis.
- Produce summaries of post-IPO trading activity.
- Develop previews of post-IPO lock-up expiries.
- Provide high-touch support to selected institutional clients during their first six months.
- Deliver pre-deal positioning analysis, market intelligence, book color, management meeting questions, Excel models, and tailored notes for pre-IPO or cornerstone investments.
- Identify post-deal lock-up expiry trading opportunities.
- Provide desk access through email, messaging, and direct calls.
Requirements
- At least five years of extensive research or investment experience serving institutional clients.
- Established experience and professional network in US equity capital markets.
- Proven ability to write investment research.
- Senior analyst or analyst team experience building ongoing coverage of qualifying US IPOs and direct listings with expected deal sizes of at least USD 100 million, excluding closed-end funds and SPACs.
