Electromechanical Field Service Technician

Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot TOMRA food-sorting equipment at customer sites. Train operators and provide customer support primarily across Brittany and neighboring regions.

Description

  • Install and commission sorting equipment at customer locations
  • Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting on equipment
  • Train operators and maintenance personnel
  • Deliver technical guidance, support, and advice to customers
  • Represent TOMRA professionally and help maintain high service standards
  • Plan customer visits from a home-based office
  • Complete detailed service reports
  • Keep technical documentation up to date
  • Provide remote technical assistance when needed
  • Serve customers mainly in Brittany and nearby regions
  • Travel occasionally to other regions of France

Requirements

  • Hold a technical qualification equivalent to at least a two-year post-secondary diploma in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, or a related discipline
  • Have hands-on experience diagnosing electrical faults and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Be fluent in French and able to communicate effectively in English in technical and professional settings
  • Demonstrate experience with preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and industrial equipment repair in customer-facing environments
  • Have solid IT knowledge, especially of PCs, networks, and network configuration
  • Hold a valid Category B driving licence
  • Experience in field service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or field technical support is highly desirable
  • Bring a strong customer-service mindset, excellent interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to build lasting relationships based on trust
