Designer III – Stephenville, Texas

Lead CAD design, fabrication drawings, and installation deliverables for TechnipFMC energy projects in Stephenville. Supervise design activities and coordinate with engineering, suppliers, clients, and operations.

Description

  • Produce design and fabrication plans, installation sketches, and animations for standard projects and operational activities
  • Verify that design deliverables meet client requirements, project QHSE plans, TechnipFMC processes, and drawing standards
  • Supervise, refine, and consolidate project design work
  • Help identify risks associated with design activities
  • Independently handle complex design assignments and related work as an experienced designer
  • Provide operational supervision to less experienced designers
  • Coordinate with subsea and surface engineering, procurement, planning, suppliers, client engineering teams, and manufacturing and installation operations

Requirements

  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5–7 years of drafting or related professional experience
  • Strong command of drafting and design standards, testing standards, and associated tools
  • Project management capability
  • Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise teams with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to share expertise and influence others effectively
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of NX 3D modeling and drafting standards
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter Engineering (TCE)
