Commercial HVAC Mobile Engineer

Provide mobile HVAC service and maintenance across counties near Greenville, South Carolina, for JLL, a global real estate services and investment management company. Repair and maintain building systems, complete preventive work, and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency.

Description

  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance across an assigned service territory.
  • Repair and maintain building systems in line with JLL standards and applicable codes, laws, and regulations.
  • Service HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Spot opportunities to save energy through changes to facility systems and operations.
  • Handle routine building upkeep, plumbing, and other maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Plan assignments independently and work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Support other trades and assist with general maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Drive a truck to service locations throughout the assigned territory.
  • Communicate with teams in person, by phone, and by email each day.
  • Keep commercial properties operating in excellent condition.

Requirements

  • Hold universal CFC certification.
  • Have at least five years of commercial HVAC service and repair experience, or five years of military experience that includes HVAC systems work.
  • Be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Have practical skills and knowledge to repair and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including pumps, motors, air handlers, automation and controls, and related electrical systems.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office, web applications, and handheld electronic devices.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Manage working relationships with colleagues, contractors, building occupants, and clients.
  • Understand English structure, composition, spelling, and grammar.
  • Work independently, bring strong interpersonal skills, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Be able to work outdoors, in mechanical and equipment rooms, and in extreme weather.
  • Be able to work near moving machinery, heavy equipment, electrical hazards, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise.
