Commercial Contract Manager - Defence Contracts (Onsite, Brisbane)

Manage commercial governance and contract administration for defence and security programs at CAE USA. The role covers contract changes, suppliers, risks, Defence requirements, and export controls.

Description

  • Support the Program Manager with the contract’s day-to-day administration
  • Maintain the Document Management System and manage contract configuration
  • Lead Contract Change Proposals and Survey & Quote activities
  • Prepare and administer CDRL deliverables
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Coordinate insurance obligations with global risk management
  • Prepare recommendations and guide the Program Manager and business stakeholders
  • Support new business opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve contractual issues and disputes
  • Interpret contract terms, manage flow-down obligations and commercial risks, and prepare formal correspondence
  • Verify that quotations comply with contract requirements
  • Maintain CAE’s compliance with export control obligations

Requirements

  • At least five years of contract management experience
  • Demonstrated ASDEFCON experience, preferably across acquisition and support environments
  • Strong commercial management experience
  • Proven ability to identify issues proactively and deliver practical solutions for customers and the business
  • Track record of managing contracts in matrixed and project-based environments
  • Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Experience with Objective is desirable
  • A qualification in law or business, or equivalent professional experience, is desirable
  • Eligibility for SECRET (NV1) Defence security clearance is required
  • A current SECRET (NV1) clearance is preferred
