Clinical Research Coordinator, French Fluency - New York Hybrid
Support French-speaking taxi drivers participating in health-disparities research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Recruit participants, collect and manage study data, and maintain clinical research compliance.
Description
- Recruit and engage participants at taxi-garage health fairs, conduct interviews, and support enrollment and informed consent
- Assist the study RN with finger sticks and accurately record participant information
- Collect data for human-subject research protocols and clinical trials
- Support patient recruitment and keep study databases current within required timelines
- Prepare and distribute study-progress reports to key stakeholders
- Follow institutional, state, and federal research regulations
- Maintain IRB approvals and complete required regulatory records
- Handle clerical and administrative tasks, including filing and organizing study materials
- Attend study meetings as needed
- Contribute to community-based participatory research on health concerns and disparities among New York City taxi drivers
Requirements
- Fluent written and spoken French is required, with language proficiency assessed during the interview process
- Strong interest in health-disparities research
- Healthcare or community-engagement experience is preferred
- Experience with data-entry platforms such as REDCap is a plus
- Ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with people unfamiliar with research participation
- Track record of making timely, effective decisions that advance organizational work
- Strong personal accountability and willingness to hold others accountable for results
- Adaptable approach and demeanor when priorities or circumstances change
- Comfort managing or learning to organize substantial volumes of data
- Availability for evening shifts approximately four days per month and one Sunday per month
- Ability to work hybrid, typically four onsite days per week and up to five when needed
