Civil Engineer – Site Design and Drafting (Remote, Philippines)

Description

  • Develop compliant civil site plans for self-storage, industrial, and multifamily developments.
  • Create grading, drainage, erosion-control, stormwater, and utility plans using boundary surveys and topographic maps.
  • Complete drainage, detention and retention, and cut-and-fill calculations.
  • Use value-engineering methods to help reduce sitework and construction costs.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and contribute to project estimates.
  • Produce floor plans, building layouts, elevations, and basic renderings for self-storage and industrial units.
  • Support contractor bidding, bid analysis, permitting, and project coordination.
  • Track schedules and contribute across several active projects.
  • Coordinate project activities with contractors and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of civil engineering experience focused on site design, building plans, and coordination with U.S. contractors.
  • Practical experience designing grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility systems.
  • Advanced AutoCAD proficiency is required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. engineering standards and construction practices.
  • Clear communication, strong organization, sound problem-solving, and careful attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work independently while managing several projects.
  • Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or aligned U.S. hours.
  • English proficiency for both the application process and day-to-day work.
  • Civil 3D experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HydroCAD, StormCAD, or comparable software is advantageous.
