CAD and AI Engineering Trainer

- Teach the core concepts and practical applications of AI in engineering
- Explain AI-assisted methods for design and development work
- Train professionals in modern CAD workflows enhanced by AI
- Teach generative design and automated creation of design variants
- Show how AI can support product development decisions
- Teach AI-based approaches to error detection and quality assurance
- Review and validate AI-generated design outputs
- Help integrate AI into established development and design processes
- Guide participants in defining and developing their own use cases
- Supervise hands-on, project-based learning activities
- Deliver practical, accessible training tailored to design, development, and technical engineering professionals
Requirements
- Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related discipline
- Five or more years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering
- Advanced knowledge of at least one CAD platform: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA
- Practical experience with parametric design and contemporary CAD workflows
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering product development and design processes
- Hands-on experience applying AI across development and design activities
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar generative AI tools for design and development work
- Ability to assess AI-generated outputs for functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
- Preferred: Experience with AI capabilities in modern CAD platforms
- Preferred: Experience with generative design and topology optimization
- Preferred: Awareness of current AI developments in design and engineering
- Preferred: Experience improving development and design workflows
- Preferred: Knowledge of parametric design variants
- Preferred: Experience developing prompts for technical applications
- Preferred: Understanding of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI practices
- Preferred: Experience facilitating practical projects or workshops
- A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design, Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI
- A plus: Experience with AI-supported error detection, quality assurance, or automated design-variant development
- A plus: Experience with rule-based design approaches or CAD automation
- A plus: Knowledge of simulation, digital engineering, or digital twins
- A plus: AEVO trainer aptitude certification or a comparable pedagogical qualification
