Biodiversity Finance Policy Lab Contributor
Ecologists will develop guidance on measuring biodiversity outcomes for nature finance with the British Ecological Society. The work includes a paper for the Journal of Applied Ecology and a policy brief for policymakers.
Description
- Help answer how biodiversity outcomes should be measured for nature finance.
- Prepare a Policy Direction paper for submission to the Journal of Applied Ecology.
- Work with the British Ecological Society to develop a policy brief for policymakers.
- Assess biodiversity and nature finance measurement needs across financial instruments.
- Examine metrics, weighting, coordination across sites, certification, gaming prevention and adaptable measurement.
- Attend an initial online meeting and regular online meetings through April 2027.
- Attend a workshop at the Society’s London offices or join online as an international contributor.
- Promote the published policy brief and paper through the Society’s network and resources.
Requirements
- Be willing to co-author a Policy Direction paper and contribute to the policy brief.
- Be willing to attend a workshop in London in January 2027; international contributors are encouraged to join online.
- Be willing to attend no more than one online meeting per month from January to April 2027.
