Description

  • Handle technical assignments in support of engineering teams
  • Use CAD, BIM, 3D modeling, and related digital design tools to create, revise, and maintain drawings, technical records, and project deliverables
  • Stay informed about applicable standards, systems, document control practices, departmental guidance, and company procedures
  • Apply the BV Quality Program to maintain accurate, compliant deliverables
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and change management activities
  • Review and enhance the methods, processes, and procedures used to produce deliverables
  • Develop project deliverables from varied design inputs
  • Complete basic calculations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
  • Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to help prevent conflicts and errors
  • Address internal client requirements while building awareness of external client priorities and drivers
  • Share knowledge of current technologies and work processes
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to less experienced engineering technicians when required

Requirements

  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience is typically expected
  • A diploma or certificate is preferred
  • An associate degree in drafting or an engineering design-related technology is preferred
  • Able to complete required pre-employment checks, which may include criminal or civil background screening, drug testing, and a motor vehicle records review
  • Able to work with general supervision and demonstrate an intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Experienced with, or capable of learning, CAD, BIM, 3D modeling, and similar digital design tools
  • Able to create, revise, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
