Associate Consultant, Crisis Management and Security | Control Risks | Tokyo Hybrid

Support Control Risks’ crisis management, business continuity, and security consulting work across Japan. Deliver risk assessments, training exercises, response planning, security reviews, and client-facing projects.

Description

  • Help scope and deliver resilience consulting work covering crisis management planning, training, risk management, and business continuity
  • Assess threats and risks, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical countermeasures for clients
  • Design and evaluate executive training and exercises to test crisis management and business continuity capabilities
  • Develop emergency and incident response plans for risks including natural disasters, civil unrest, insurgency, workplace violence, armed robbery, arson, and terrorism
  • Coordinate specialist resources across APAC and the wider Group to deliver high-quality, commercially viable client outcomes
  • Review and audit security systems across a range of industries
  • Produce clear, high-quality verbal and written reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Build effective working relationships with employees, contractors, joint venture partners, government representatives, police, military, regulators, and industry groups
  • Collaborate within small teams alongside clients and external contractors or consultants
  • Contribute to event security assignments
  • Travel throughout Japan in a client-facing consulting capacity

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience researching topics and synthesizing relevant information
  • Ability to write deductive reports using logical reasoning and precise English
  • Demonstrated personal excellence in any professional or academic field
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
  • Preferred: Experience in a corporate or consulting setting, or with multinational companies in Japan
  • Preferred: Demonstrated professional excellence in a related field
  • Preferred: Relevant qualifications in areas such as business continuity or security
  • Preferred: Additional language skills, such as Chinese or Korean
