Acuity Assembly Cell Operator (Onsite)

Assemble electronic components, wiring, fixtures, and product subassemblies for Acuity’s lighting and intelligent-space products. Test equipment, follow safety and quality procedures, and perform detailed hands-on production work.

Description

  • Build fixtures and install electronic components in larger assemblies or casings
  • Install electrical wiring according to specifications
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment before initial or renewed service
  • Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and products by hand or with small tools
  • Comply with security requirements, safety policies, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Learn and carry out manual tool operations
  • Complete assigned work accurately and with close attention to detail
  • Collaborate effectively in a team-based work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with specialized configurations
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Fast, self-directed learning ability
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Proficiency with hand tools, including power tools, drills, crimpers, wire strippers, screws, bolts, rivets, press fits, or similar equipment
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Availability to work overtime as needed
  • Some electronics experience preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred
