Accounts Receivable Specialist I – Remote in North Carolina

Process electronic and manual payer remittances for Labcorp’s diagnostic testing and healthcare services. Research payer records, resolve account issues, and reconcile billing-system transactions.

Description

  • Process and post electronic remittances from assigned payers within required turnaround times using macros, computer tools, and multiple systems
  • Achieve weekly and monthly production targets after completing training
  • Research payer websites to obtain supporting documentation for postings
  • Identify issues and emerging trends among assigned payers
  • Manage aged accounts receivable in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Coordinate with leadership and partner teams to support accurate, timely remittance processing
  • Post accounts receivable and electronic or manual remittances from private and government payers into the billing system
  • Reconcile files against received payments using reports, macros, and other tools

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least one year of accounts receivable experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Independently manage time and tasks while maintaining productivity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Availability for a rotating Saturday schedule
  • Preferred: At least one year of Labcorp revenue cycle management experience
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in healthcare, claims, explanation of benefits, cash posting, or billing
