UI Developer, React and TypeScript, Barclays, Glasgow or Knutsford
Build and enhance Barclays’ CDD and KYC platforms using React and TypeScript. This onsite role focuses on user experience, platform migration, and business-process automation in Glasgow or Knutsford.

- Develop and enhance software supporting business, platform, and technology capabilities
- Deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and performance-focused software solutions
- Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution approaches
- Create new CDD platform capabilities within global feature squads
- Maintain the existing application stack while migrating functionality to the new platform
- Develop user-focused KYC functionality and automate business processes to improve efficiency
- Take part in code reviews while supporting code quality and knowledge sharing
- Use secure coding techniques and effective unit-testing practices
- Influence decisions, contribute to policy development, and support operational effectiveness
- Work across functions and business divisions to explain complex information and influence stakeholders
- Identify and reduce risks while strengthening controls and supporting governance policies
आवश्यकताएँ
- Professional experience developing React.js applications with strong JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, and HTML5 skills
- Solid knowledge of React Hooks, component lifecycles, Redux or Context API state management, and responsive interface development
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and connecting front-end applications to backend services
- Knowledge of Micro Frontend Architecture, reusable components, and front-end design patterns
- Experience using Git and working within Agile development practices
- Understanding of application performance optimization, accessibility requirements, and cross-browser compatibility
- DevOps experience with monitoring tools such as ELK and AppDynamics, build and deployment tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, and load-balancer principles
- Background developing highly scalable applications
- Ability to meet expectations across risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology
- Ability to work onsite in Glasgow or Knutsford
