  • Manage backup coverage, retention, and offsite and immutable copies.
  • Validate recovery with restore tests and exercises, and keep recovery runbooks current.
  • Administer Active Directory and Entra ID, including groups, service accounts, SSO, MFA, conditional access, and access reviews.
  • Build, patch, and maintain Windows Server and Linux virtual machines in VMware/vCenter.
  • Oversee storage and capacity, document dependencies, and safely retire unused systems.
  • Troubleshoot firewalls, routing, NAT, VPNs, VLANs, switches, DNS, and TLS using live evidence.
  • Handle physical installation tasks and support datacenter migration cutovers and rollback planning.
  • Support management of Windows and Mac devices.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, and related security settings.
  • Expand monitoring coverage and improve alert quality.
  • Develop PowerShell or Python tools to automate routine tasks and retrieve live system state.
  • Review AI-generated output and verify it is safe before use.
  • Document systems and changes.
  • Coach junior colleagues.
  • Work with development, database administration, and India-based engineering teams on infrastructure-related needs.

  • Bring 3–8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
  • Have practical experience administering Windows Server and VMware vSphere/vCenter.
  • Have administered Active Directory and Entra ID, including groups, service accounts, SSO, MFA, and access reviews.
  • Understand subnetting, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS, TLS, VPNs, and next-generation firewalls.
  • Have enterprise backup experience with Veeam or a comparable product, including personally carrying out restores.
  • Have experience administering Microsoft 365.
  • Be able to build useful tools with PowerShell or Python.
  • Write clear runbooks, change plans, and status updates for technical colleagues and directors.
  • Troubleshoot systematically by isolating variables, checking authoritative sources, and acknowledging uncertainty.
  • Apply sound security judgment to least privilege, credential protection, and data subject to legal hold or privacy constraints.
  • Work independently in undocumented environments and learn unfamiliar areas quickly.
  • Live within reach of the Cape Coral office for hands-on and datacenter work.
  • Be available during US Eastern business hours, with daily overlap with the India-based engineering team.
