Senior SQL Developer - Chennai Onsite
Senior SQL Developer responsible for SQL databases, SSIS ETL pipelines, and operational reporting at Med-Metrix. The role supports healthcare data operations, database performance, and HIPAA-compliant handling of protected health information.
विवरण
- Design, develop, and maintain database systems
- Build SSIS solutions for ETL, data transmission, encryption, and file archiving
- Optimize SQL databases and improve query performance
- Create and maintain database tables, stored procedures, and related objects
- Develop and support operational reports for internal teams and clients
- Partner with the data team on operational support and recurring issue resolution
- Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures
- Write SQL queries and handle ad hoc data requests
- Support capacity planning and resource expansion through data aggregation and analysis
- Work with project managers to align reports and metrics with business needs and process-improvement opportunities
- Identify database-platform inefficiencies and recommend solutions to management
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to technical and business challenges
- Determine root causes and recommend measures to prevent recurring issues
- Handle and disclose patients’ protected health information in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Restrict access to PHI to the minimum necessary for assigned responsibilities
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least five years of experience as a database engineer or in a related position
- At least three years of extensive experience with SSRS, SSIS, and T-SQL
- At least two years of experience with C# and/or VB.NET
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints
- Extensive experience with MS SQL Server 2012 or later, particularly query performance
- Knowledge of database troubleshooting and best practices for database operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple complex and demanding projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking abilities, with sound judgment based on accurate and timely analysis
- High integrity, dependability, urgency, and focus on results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow HIPAA and information-security policies and procedures
- Ability to protect and handle patients’ protected health information in accordance with HIPAA standards
