  • Lead and develop software engineers through feedback, career growth, performance management, hiring, and succession planning.
  • Set the technical roadmap and oversee delivery of shared autonomous vehicle diagnostics infrastructure for autonomous driving and active safety programs.
  • Direct the design and implementation of UDS Server, DTC Manager, Diagnostic Monitor Library, manufacturing support services, configuration, shared utilities, and scan tools.
  • Work with Systems Engineering and software teams to turn diagnostic needs into dependable, maintainable platform software.
  • Coordinate integrations with AV Health, cybersecurity, software updates, communications, power management, calibration, platform software, manufacturing, service, QA, and verification and validation teams.
  • Manage technical risks, resolve issues, track dependencies, and prepare releases for vehicle program milestones.
  • Set engineering practices for design and code reviews, unit and integration testing, automation, static analysis, CI/CD, logging, metrics, and observability.
  • Ensure the software meets safety and compliance needs and supports manufacturing, serviceability, and reliable degraded operation.
  • Keep technical and program leaders informed about progress, risks, decisions, and recovery plans.
  • Build an inclusive, collaborative team culture centered on accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering quality.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical or computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including embedded, automotive, platform, or infrastructure software.
  • Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex software across multiple stakeholders, platforms, or programs.
  • Strong C or C++ and Python skills, including software design, implementation, debugging, code review, and unit testing.
  • Experience with embedded Linux or POSIX systems, software interfaces, interprocess communication, networking, and hardware and software integration.
  • Experience with automotive diagnostics, such as UDS/ISO 14229, diagnostic trouble codes, diagnostic identifiers, routines, or ECU diagnostic services.
  • Experience establishing or applying software quality practices, including test strategy, automation, code coverage, static analysis, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to GM locations, supplier sites, test facilities, and vehicle or bench integration activities.
