  • Set enterprise architecture for hybrid cloud, networking, database, and compute platforms, including landing zones, tenant governance, identity integration, and operational controls.
  • Direct architecture and migration engineering for data center transitions to cloud, from dependency analysis and migration planning through cutover, rollback, and stabilization.
  • Set design direction for enterprise virtual compute, including topology, virtualization, operating systems, performance, resilience, availability, and lifecycle upgrades.
  • Define and govern networking architecture standards across WAN, LAN, wireless, cloud, and data center environments.
  • Own the architecture and operations of Azure and related Microsoft tenant services.
  • Set enterprise architecture and engineering standards for Oracle, SQL Server, Azure databases, and related services.
  • Establish engineering standards for infrastructure as code, automation, image management, configuration baselines, drift control, and repeatable deployments.
  • Lead vulnerability management, patch engineering, and operating system currency programs for compute assets.
  • Set platform security baselines covering system hardening, privileged access, monitoring, logging, recovery, and security controls.
  • Oversee technical matters across networking, directory services, storage, databases, backup and recovery, capacity planning, and platform observability.
  • Resolve escalated issues involving Azure, Microsoft tenants, networking, databases, virtual compute, incidents, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Manage Microsoft and other strategic infrastructure partners on architecture and commercial matters.
  • Standardize and rationalize platforms to reduce technical debt and platform sprawl.
  • Define and report engineering and control measures, including migration pace, workload stability, availability, reliability, compliance, patching, vulnerability age, automation coverage, and recovery time.

  • Record of designing and leading complex migrations from on-premises infrastructure to cloud or hybrid platforms, including architecture, dependency analysis, migration governance, and operational transition.
  • Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, Microsoft tenant governance, identity and access integration, virtual infrastructure, enterprise networking, Windows and Linux servers, database platforms, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud landing zones, WAN and LAN architecture, wireless and cloud networking, network security integration, infrastructure automation, configuration management, observability, and resilience engineering.
  • Experience designing and governing enterprise database platforms, including high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimization, operational controls, and modernization.
  • Experience setting platform standards for infrastructure as code, automation pipelines, policy enforcement, system hardening, operational controls, and infrastructure governance across distributed environments.
  • Ability to serve as the top technical authority for infrastructure platforms, lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive enterprise adoption of architecture standards.
  • Experience managing strategic vendors, especially Microsoft and key infrastructure partners, including executive engagement, support escalation, roadmap alignment, and technical-commercial decisions.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, cybersecurity, operational governance, compliance, and audit-ready infrastructure controls.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, platform operations, networking, database services, or enterprise infrastructure leadership, including responsibility for large-scale production environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred. An advanced degree and certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CCNP, CISSP, Microsoft database certifications, or similar credentials are a plus.
