Senior Data Center Design Manager
Lead concurrent data center design and engineering projects for Digital Realty across Western U.S. locations. Manage consultants, budgets, standards, design reviews, customer coordination, and commissioning activities.

- Apply Digital Realty’s design and engineering guidelines and standards
- Lead multiple concurrent data center development projects from design through delivery
- Provide strategic, innovative design and engineering guidance
- Manage complex deliverables against budget and schedule targets
- Oversee architects, engineers, consultants, and equipment suppliers throughout the design lifecycle
- Lead RFP processes for architectural and engineering consultants and commissioning agents
- Assess proposals and recommend vendors for selection
- Monitor consultant performance, invoices, and deviations from design and engineering guidelines
- Apply design and engineering standards while identifying value-engineering opportunities
- Coordinate with Delivery teams on project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Review OFCI equipment submittals and advise Delivery and Procurement teams
- Lead reviews of drawings, Bases of Design, sequences of operation, commissioning plans, and testing scripts
- Act as the primary customer contact for build-to-suit projects
- Develop scope, budget, and schedule work letters with Sales and Business Development
- Create executive presentations and monthly project reports
- Maintain alignment with project gating processes and transition plans for Delivery teams
- Develop and manage vendor relationships
- Conduct site visits and participate in Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning activities
- Support internal design innovation and continuous improvement
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least seven years of experience managing technically complex projects, including direct design or commissioning work
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Professional license such as AIA, PE, or PEng preferred
- Ability to lead and coordinate internal teams, external partners, and project stakeholders
- Advanced ability to interpret design and construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and detailed budgets
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, security and monitoring, and fire detection and suppression systems
- Broad knowledge of design and construction practices, terminology, and contract structures
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements
- Financial proficiency in reviewing, analyzing, and recommending changes to budgets and estimates
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- Self-directed approach and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with Digital Realty projects and knowledge of DEG preferred
