Senior Data Architect – Colombia Remote
Lead scalable data architecture, engineering pipelines, and governance for CI&T’s enterprise EdTech engagement. Provide hands-on technical direction while collaborating with stakeholders in the United States.

- Provide technical leadership to data specialists and developers delivering data products and pipelines
- Shape the target architecture across ingestion, lakehouse platforms, data modeling, governance, and serving layers
- Turn business and technical needs into practical, implementable data solutions
- Choose suitable frameworks, architectural patterns, and modeling techniques
- Work with client architects and business leaders to explain design alternatives and trade-offs
- Document architectural decisions so the team can execute consistently
- Define and uphold practices for data quality, access management, lineage, and privacy
- Embed CI/CD and DataOps practices into dependable delivery processes
- Assess existing data environments and lead knowledge transfer during transitions
- Sequence initiatives to produce measurable business value through incremental delivery
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept to test architectural choices and illustrate their value
- Apply CI&T’s shared data methodologies while contributing experience to the broader practice
- Support an end-to-end strategic technology engagement for a US-based EdTech client
आवश्यकताएँ
- C1-level English or higher is required for daily communication with North American stakeholders
- Demonstrated expertise in data architecture and hands-on leadership of multidisciplinary data teams
- Strong background designing, building, and deploying large-scale data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and data products
- Practical Databricks experience, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, or equivalent expertise with AWS data services
- Advanced SQL skills and strong command of dimensional Kimball and relational data modeling
- Experience with workflow orchestration and pipeline automation using tools such as dbt, Databricks Workflows, or Apache Airflow
- Ability to convert business challenges into effective data solutions and explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Availability to work in a nearshore model with regular overlap during US Central business hours
- Databricks certification is preferred
- Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse is preferred
- Understanding of data governance and privacy practices in regulated sectors is preferred
- Experience implementing CI/CD and MLOps pipelines is preferred
- Familiarity with AI solutions and agentic coding workflows is preferred
- Background leading consultative data assessments and modernization programs is preferred
- Spanish or Portuguese proficiency is preferred
