विवरण

Program robots and automation equipment
Update software for industrial robots and custom automation systems
Diagnose and debug existing products
Work with project teams to build automation systems to customer specifications
Integrate hardware into mechanical designs in collaboration with project teams
Adapt electrical schematics to meet software requirements
Evaluate and implement technologies for ENGEL automation systems
Prepare vendor specifications based on project requirements
Create and update electrical schematics with Promis, E-Plan, or AutoCAD
Verify that systems comply with safety standards and US and international regulations
Prepare documentation for automation and robotic systems
Design cable-management layouts for mechanical systems
Assemble final documentation packages for customers and technicians
Create base software from electrical schematics
Develop and modify software for articulated and linear industrial robots and peripheral equipment
Design HMI and production-cell visualization
Program communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet, I/O Link, OPC UA, Profibus, and DeviceNet
Diagnose software issues at production facilities and customer sites
Assist cross-functional teams with new and existing automation projects
Write operator instructions, manuals, and documentation for custom software
Build features and modules for nonstandard ENGEL equipment
Adopt new standards, interfaces, and protocols
Provide technical assistance to project engineering, assembly manufacturing, service technicians, and customers
Take on additional duties and special projects assigned by a supervisor

आवश्यकताएँ

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent industry experience
At least seven years of related experience, preferably in robotics or automation
Strong understanding of electrical schematics and other technical drawings
Knowledge of pneumatic and mechanical drawings is preferred
Ability to program ladder logic, function blocks, and structured text
Experience with Siemens S7, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, KUKA robots, and FANUC robots is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, software editors, ENGEL-specific programs, C++, Java, machine simulations, and SAP
Good communication skills
Valid passport
Willingness and ability to travel 5–15%, including internationally
Ability to sit, use a computer, and type continuously for more than two hours at a time
Ability to hear and listen for one to two hours regularly
