Senior Commercial Finance Analyst
Support forecasting, pricing, trade analysis, and performance reporting for Simple Mills’ better-for-you food products. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to inform profitable growth.

- Forecast volume, net sales, trade spend, and revenue drivers for assigned accounts or channels.
- Review commercial analysis assumptions and identify risks that need further assessment.
- Consolidate and review customer and channel forecasts.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to turn commercial plans into financial forecasts and performance insights.
- Contribute assumptions, analysis, and scenario models to annual operating plans, long-range plans, and reforecasts.
- Prepare net sales and commercial performance reports, including KPIs, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Assess performance drivers, risks, and opportunities, and help develop recommendations.
- Share findings with cross-functional partners.
- Conduct financial and strategic analyses for customer strategies, pricing initiatives, and commercial priorities.
- Check assumptions, results, data, and analytical outputs for accuracy.
- Analyze trade and promotional activity using pre-event scenarios and post-event performance reviews.
- Assess pricing, promotions, product mix, and trade investment.
- Model scenarios and estimate impacts for pricing and price-pack architecture.
- Evaluate tradeoffs among volume, net sales, and profitability.
- Track trade and commercial budgets, monitor spending against plan, and explain variances.
- Maintain and improve Commercial Finance tools, systems, reporting processes, and Trade Promotion Management systems.
- Carry out other assigned duties.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or analytics-focused finance roles.
- Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.
- Recent, hands-on commercial finance experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting commercial teams with forecasting, trade or promotional analysis, and pricing work.
- Experience supporting annual operating plans, reforecasting, and planning processes.
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Ability to build, audit, and explain models accurately.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Familiarity with syndicated data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, and SPINS is preferred.
- Experience with Trade Promotion Management systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to independently validate analytical outputs, data, and model results.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to summarize findings, explain key drivers, and question assumptions or outputs.
- Ability to manage recurring processes and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
