Remote Professional Billing Specialist: Claims Follow-Up and Denials | OU Health
Submit professional claims, manage Epic billing queues, and resolve denials for OU Health, an academic medical provider. This full-time remote role focuses on payer follow-up and professional billing.

- Prepare and submit professional claims
- Resolve routine claim errors and rejections
- Manage assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic
- Use foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer rules
- Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Work Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with some flexibility after training
- Complete early-morning training beginning between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Reside and work full-time in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas before the first day of employment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Level 1 applicants need at least one year of medical insurance experience
- Level 2 applicants need at least three years of professional billing experience
- Level 2 applicants must obtain CPB certification within one year of hire
- General understanding of HIPAA and/or EOBs
- Experience working with insurance companies
- Foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer rules
- Ability to meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards
- Self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills
