Remote Energy and Nature Lawyer in the Philippines
Support ClientEarth’s energy transition and biodiversity conservation work across Southeast Asia from the Philippines. The role combines legal research, regional strategy, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with governments, industry, civil society, and donors.

- Help deliver agreed regional priorities in partnership with the line manager
- Offer country-level perspectives, surface risks and lessons, and connect local work with regional and global strategies
- Research and assess legal and regulatory frameworks related to energy transition and biodiversity conservation
- Cultivate relationships with government bodies, industry representatives, civil society organisations, and donors across Japan and Southeast Asia
- Work with partners in Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, and other countries across the region
- Support the development of ClientEarth’s emerging nature strategy
- Advance ClientEarth’s work where climate action and biodiversity conservation intersect
- Prepare legal, technical, and factual research and written materials
- Represent ClientEarth’s work to internal and external audiences
आवश्यकताएँ
- English fluency at CEFR C2 level
- Fluency at CEFR C2 level in Bahasa Indonesia or Filipino
- A law degree or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in energy law, policy, and regulation
- Professional experience in biodiversity conservation law, policy, and regulation
- Understanding of how energy transition intersects with nature conservation
- Confidence engaging constructively with diverse external stakeholders and representing ClientEarth in different forums
- Existing legal authorisation to work in the countries specified at the beginning of the job advertisement
