विवरण

  • Analyze, design, model, and detail electrical building systems for construction, renewal, and retrofit projects.
  • Develop practical electrical solutions that account for client goals, existing conditions, codes, constructability, energy performance, reliability, and lifecycle needs.
  • Guide projects from initial scope definition through construction completion.
  • Plan and coordinate work, conduct technical reviews, manage schedules, and communicate with clients.
  • Prepare design reports, system comparisons, feasibility studies, construction documents, equipment specifications, and probable-cost estimates.
  • Carry out site surveys, electrical assessments, and field reviews.
  • Record existing conditions and check that construction generally follows the design intent.
  • Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, and other consulting disciplines.
  • Apply electrical and building codes, standards, engineering principles, and internal quality requirements.
  • Represent Sense Engineering in client and project discussions, site meetings, and industry events.
  • Guide and provide technical oversight to junior engineers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Contribute to proposals, scope and fee development, knowledge sharing, technical standards, and the growth of the electrical practice.
  • Develop relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned or needed.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or college, or be certified as an electrical engineering technologist.
  • Have approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical building-system assessment, design, coordination, or project delivery.
  • Be registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or actively working toward registration.
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is an asset.
  • Bring strong working knowledge of electrical and building codes, industry standards, engineering fundamentals, design practices, and quality requirements.
  • Be proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Revit, BIM workflows, electrical analysis software, and energy-modelling coordination is an asset.
  • Have prepared coordinated drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical deliverables for building projects.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach.
  • Work collaboratively while managing priorities, commitments, and project responsibilities independently.
  • Be interested in mentoring, sharing knowledge, creative problem-solving, and contributing to a growing practice.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
