Backend Web Developer (Python/Django) at Hitachi — Remote India
Build Python and Django applications, APIs, and middleware that support Hitachi Vantara’s sales processes. Partner with product, design, frontend, and DevOps teams in a remote India role.

- Build secure, scalable web applications with Python and Django
- Work with product managers, designers, and developers to turn requirements into technical specifications
- Produce clean, efficient, maintainable code aligned with established standards and best practices
- Create and maintain database schemas, queries, and APIs
- Investigate and resolve application defects
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and improve application efficiency
- Keep current with web development practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends
- Partner with DevOps to deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms
- Build and support middleware and related systems for the sales process
- Coordinate with frontend developers to define, design, and implement APIs
- Help shape application experiences, with opportunities to expand into full-stack development
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
- At least three years of web development experience as a Python Django developer
- Strong command of Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and related frameworks
- Experience working with SQL databases and ORM libraries such as Django ORM and SQLAlchemy
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
- Working knowledge of Git or comparable version control systems
- Experience with agile software development practices
- Familiarity with Linux
- Exposure to AWS or Azure and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with technically diverse teams
- Clear communication and effective interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
