System Architect, New AI Products — On-site in San Francisco
Design and build shared agentic AI infrastructure for Wispr Flow’s voice-interface products. Own architecture spanning models, memory, context, tools, execution, and developer platforms.
Tavsif
- Develop foundational components for AI product concepts that internal teams can test and extend.
- Define reference architectures for models, live context, memory, tools, agent harnesses, and durable execution.
- Determine which components should become reusable platform primitives for adoption across teams.
- Build shared infrastructure for agentic systems, including memory, context management, tools, and background execution.
- Create reusable environments and developer tooling for model prototyping, training, and evaluation.
- Develop trigger and context-capture systems across devices, surfaces, and modalities.
- Design harnesses and primitives that coordinate models and support execution handoffs.
- Productionize systems with strong observability, recovery, security, latency management, and cost controls.
Talablar
- Substantial experience taking a greenfield system from an ambiguous problem through production and improving it using real-world failures and usage.
- Experience creating shared primitives that are adopted by multiple teams.
- Experience defining thoughtful abstraction boundaries and strong developer experiences.
- Experience owning backend or distributed systems with demanding scalability and reliability requirements.
- Ability to ground system design in user-experience needs such as latency, quality, privacy, and trust.
- Ability to build alignment across product, machine learning, client, and infrastructure teams.
- Ability to explain architectural decisions and tradeoffs clearly and lead them to resolution.
- Exceptional depth in backend and platform engineering.
- Ability to quickly develop expertise in adjacent technical areas.
- Demonstrated ownership at the architecture level.
- Ability to work on-site in the Bay Area/San Francisco, or willingness to relocate; the application form presents remote-only and monthly-travel options.
