Staff Platform Engineer / Lead DevOps Engineer
Build AWS-first risk platforms at Commonwealth Bank, automating secure infrastructure and Kubernetes delivery. Improve CI/CD and observability across enterprise risk systems.
Tavsif
- Create reusable cloud infrastructure, platform tools and automation for secure, scalable application delivery.
- Support engineering teams with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and AWS platform practices.
- Deploy and run containerised workloads on Kubernetes, EKS and related tools.
- Strengthen observability, monitoring, resilience and operational support for critical services.
- Work with internal and external engineers to improve delivery quality, speed and safety.
- Support platform governance, service management, incident response and ongoing improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Principal Engineers, Risk Technology and adjacent teams.
- Deliver platform capabilities while meeting technology control and privacy obligations.
Talablar
- Substantial experience in AWS platform engineering or cloud infrastructure; AWS experience is preferred.
- Practical experience deploying containerised applications with Kubernetes, especially EKS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as CloudFormation; Terraform is also relevant.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
- A strong automation mindset, with the ability to improve reliability, consistency and engineering efficiency.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Observe or AppDynamics.
- Cloud-native API experience and deploying modern application services are advantageous.
- Python, Go or C# programming experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AWS AI services such as Bedrock is advantageous.
