Tavsif

  • Research, design, develop, implement, and test population-simulation software
  • Partner with customers and end users to establish requirements and realistic delivery timelines
  • Work within Agile teams to design, build, test, implement, and support backend technical solutions
  • Produce clean, testable, efficient code, primarily in Java
  • Identify opportunities to improve established application processes
  • Prepare and deliver software component releases
  • Provide technical guidance and support for application and infrastructure questions
  • Report to the VP of Engineering

Talablar

  • Hold an active TS/SCI clearance or be eligible to obtain one
  • Be a US citizen
  • Reside in the contiguous United States
  • Work as a W2 employee of GeoDelphi, Inc.
  • Apply directly; third-party applications are not accepted
  • Bring at least 5 years of experience in software engineering
  • Demonstrate experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production software
  • Have strong coding skills with an emphasis on quality and testability
  • Be proficient in Java and Python
  • Understand DevOps and software and application development processes
  • Have experience with continuous integration and software configuration management tools and processes, including GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Nexus
  • Have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization
  • Be experienced in gathering client requirements and resolving workflow issues through automation optimization
  • Have experience with population simulation or another form of data simulation
  • Have experience in geospatial engineering
  • Have experience with Big Data tools such as Spark/Hadoop, Google BigQuery, AWS Athena, and EMR
  • Have experience working with public clouds including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
  • Demonstrate strong data visualization skills
