Tavsif

  • Act as the company’s authority on U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and accounting policy.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Review accounting across receivables, payables, payroll and benefits, commissions, and intercompany accounts.
  • Manage federal and state income tax provisions under ASC 740 and review returns prepared by external providers.
  • Oversee sales and use tax nexus, indirect taxes, and state and international tax matters with outside advisors.
  • Prepare the company for its first financial statement audit and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Manage ASC 606 revenue accounting for SaaS and subscription offerings, PBExpo events, and PartStore.
  • Lead multi-entity accounting and consolidation, including cash-to-accrual conversion, intercompany eliminations, and related-party transactions.
  • Draft and maintain revenue recognition and technical accounting policy memoranda.
  • Track, evaluate, and implement new and emerging accounting standards.
  • Develop, document, and maintain internal controls.
  • Find and deliver AI and automation improvements across accounting and finance workflows.
  • Lead accounting systems projects, including CaptivateIQ, billing automation, and the Sage Intacct to Workday migration.
  • Advise Sales, Operations, FP&A, and executives on accounting and tax matters.
  • Advise the COO and executive team on financial matters.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution.
  • Active CPA license.
  • At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on ownership of close, technical accounting, and external financial reporting.
  • Substantial tax experience, including ASC 740 income tax provisions, review of externally prepared returns, sales and use and indirect taxes, and oversight of outside tax advisors.
  • Extensive audit experience, including readiness work and leading external audits from planning through completion.
  • Expertise in U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 740, and accounting for cloud computing and internal-use software costs.
  • Experience implementing new accounting standards.
  • Experience supervising and reviewing accounting work, including payroll and benefits entries, commissions, receivables, payables, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems, plus advanced Excel skills.
  • Hands-on systems implementation experience, ideally with Sage Intacct and Workday, as well as commissions or billing automation.
  • Able to work independently, take ownership, and manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including explaining complex accounting and tax topics to non-finance audiences.
  • Comfort building processes and policies from the ground up in a growing company.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth remote environment.
