Senior Python Backend Engineer
Build Python, Azure, and Databricks data platforms for a leading insurance company. Process vulnerability intelligence to help businesses reduce cyber risk.
Tavsif
- Develop and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs.
- Create scalable systems to ingest, process, and transform large datasets.
- Use Microsoft Azure for containerized workloads, batch processing, PostgreSQL, and event-driven systems.
- Help shape cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Apply Databricks and modern data-processing methods.
- Partner with engineers on system design, data models, and platform enhancements.
- Raise software quality through code reviews, automated tests, and mentoring junior developers.
- Use AI-assisted tools to support coding, testing, technical analysis, and faster problem-solving.
- Develop a proprietary platform that detects vulnerabilities and helps a leading UK insurance company reduce cyber risk.
Talablar
- Bring at least five years of commercial Python development experience, primarily in backend engineering.
- Have strong experience developing backend applications and REST APIs.
- Know SQL well and have used PostgreSQL or another relational database.
- Have practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Have built data-intensive applications, data pipelines, or systems that process large datasets.
- Understand software engineering best practices, testing, and clean code.
- Have experience with Databricks or another modern data platform.
- Be familiar with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
- Have hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Container Apps or Batch Processing.
- Have used Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Have experience with Azure DevOps and deployment automation.
- Have practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
