Senior Proposal Engineer, Industrial Automation
Develop technical and commercial proposals for Rockwell Automation’s industrial automation and lifecycle services, from solution design and cost estimates through approvals. Help ensure proposals meet customer needs, compliance requirements, and business goals.
Tavsif
- Create technical and commercial proposals for customer-focused solutions and services.
- Lead tailored proposals covering industrial automation, drives, networks, and cybersecurity services.
- Assess technical needs and risks, prepare proposals, secure approvals, and complete order entry.
- Ensure proposals satisfy margin and compliance standards.
- Deliver accurate, polished proposals on schedule.
- Coordinate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Engineering, Field Services, Operations, Commercial and Negotiation, Finance, and Credit Management.
- Act as the main proposal-phase contact for Sales and partner teams.
- Respond to customer questions and clarify technical matters.
- Interpret commercial terms and conditions, including corporate agreements.
- Design solutions that meet client specifications and follow industry best practices.
- Estimate costs for materials, labour, and project expenses.
- Assess risks and recommend ways to reduce them.
- Verify technical accuracy and work with quality assurance.
- Keep up with industrial automation and OT/IT integration developments.
- Recommend ways to improve the proposal process.
- Lead efforts to standardize proposals and tools for network and cybersecurity solutions.
- Support Rockwell Automation Lifecycle Services’ business objectives, financial goals, growth, and strategic initiatives.
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- At least 8–10 years of proposal or project engineering experience in industrial automation.
- Technical knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, DCS, drives, oil and gas, and after-sales contracts.
- Understanding of cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong command of contract terms and conditions.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to adapt communication style to the audience.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with senior partners.
- Hands-on experience in operational technology (OT), including the design, deployment, and management of industrial automation systems.
- Advanced DCS and PLC skills, including migration, modification, and upgrade projects across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of installing, maintaining, and upgrading low-voltage and medium-voltage drives.
- Knowledge of after-sales services and offerings, including service and contract proposals.
