Tavsif

  • Act as a senior individual contributor within Clara’s Colombia-based Legal team
  • Manage complex regulatory matters and high-impact legal work with substantial independence
  • Provide legal guidance to company leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee daily legal operations for Clara’s Colombian entity while coordinating with global LATAM standards
  • Support significant loan facilities and capital markets transactions
  • Structure and negotiate venture capital and private equity equity and debt financings
  • Manage Colombian regulatory compliance, including financial-sector rules, AML/CFT requirements, and data protection obligations
  • Oversee regulatory communications, submissions, and deadlines
  • Lead responses to administrative requests and regulatory inquiries
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements, including customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and strategic partnerships
  • Lead product-related legal negotiations with Product, Sales, and Finance
  • Partner with Product to establish the legal framework for new financial products and mitigate regulatory risk during development
  • Manage and safeguard Clara’s regional intellectual property portfolio, including trademark filings and renewals
  • Organize legal records and documentation across Google Drive, Slack, and internal systems
  • Improve legal operations with N8N and AI tools by automating contract workflows, streamlining research, and scaling delivery

Talablar

  • Colombian law degree with a current license to practice
  • At least five years of experience in corporate, commercial, financial, or fintech law
  • Strong knowledge of Colombian financial regulation, AML/CFT requirements, and consumer and data protection law
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial contracts and structure financial transactions
  • Background in a fast-growing fintech or technology company with a strategic, business-oriented legal approach
  • Professional working fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, using AI tools to automate workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong ownership and consistent execution in role-specific responsibilities
  • Preferred: Experience advising regulated financial institutions or payment companies in Colombia
  • Preferred: Familiarity with LATAM legal systems or cross-border financial transactions
  • Preferred: Basic Portuguese skills or willingness to learn, plus independent analytical ability with spreadsheets, SQL, or Python
  • Preferred: Basic proficiency in Portuguese or a desire to learn it
